ForeignerInPoland started from a simple frustration: every time I needed to see a doctor, hire an accountant or meet a notary in Poland, I had to ask my Polish partner to come with me.
Not because I couldn't handle it. Not even because my Polish was nonexistent. I was learning, and still am. But let's be honest: medical appointments, legal consultations, tax filings are not conversations you can have with basic Polish. The vocabulary alone is hard enough in your own language. Getting it wrong isn't just embarrassing. It can have real, damaging consequences for your life and your career.
So I did what most expats do: I leaned on someone else, crossed my fingers, or put it off entirely. But leaving everything on my partner's shoulders wasn't fair to her. And constantly juggling our schedules just so she could come with me wasn't sustainable. So I had to do something.
Cześć, I'm Sidek, originally Indian but born and raised in Belgium. I've been living in Poland for just over a year now. Poland is a genuinely great country to build a life in. But when you need professional help and you don't speak the language fluently, there was nowhere reliable to look. No filtered list. No recommendations. No way to know in advance whether I'd be able to make myself understood. Just word of mouth, Facebook groups full of mixed information, and a lot of hoping for the best.
So I built ForeignerInPoland: a directory where you can find verified professionals across every category that matters, and filter by the language you speak and your preferred location. Not just English. Whether you speak French, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hindi, or anything in between, you deserve to find someone who can help you in your own words.
Every professional listed here has been manually reviewed before appearing on the platform. No outdated contacts, no unverified entries. Just real people you can actually contact, who will understand you when you do.
The platform is completely free to search and will always stay that way. So you can breathe a little easier and navigate your life in Poland with a bit more confidence.
If you're a professional who serves foreign clients in their language, you can list your practice — we'll review it and add you to the directory.
